Donovan Benched Rest Of Season For Grossman/Beck Show

Shanahan and Son assured as all week that Donovan McNabb would be the starter in Dallas this Sunday, yet in a surprising turn of events Mike Shanahan announced today that he will bench McNabb for the remainder of the season, excuse me ahem, not bench him but because we are out of the playoff race that he wants to “evaluate” Grossman and Beck.

I call bullshit. Are you telling me that the Grossman /Beck combo gives us a better opportunity to win than Donovan McNabb? How much longer do us loyal Redskin fans have to put up with the Shanahanigans and lies? Can Mike just come out and say he made a mistake with McNabb? Its obvious now that Shanahan cant wait for the draft and he doesnt mind tanking the rest of the season for a better draft pick. Donovan McNabb’s days as a Redskin are numbered, that last drive against Tampa Bay may very well have been his last drive as a Redskin.

Mike Shanahan has again disrespected a Pro Bowler, future Hall of Famer and an on the field/off the field professional. Mike Shanahan seems to think that he isn’t doing anything wrong in his treatment of personnel. I wonder if any Redskins fans feel how I feel about Shanahan and Son, this isnt who we thought we were getting when we hired Mike. We weren’t hiring his son.

As Mike Wise said today, of The Mike Wise Show with Holden Kushner, he referred to Kyle Shanahan as ”The Boy King of Ashburn”, which couldn’t be more true. He can do no wrong as long as he is under Daddy’s head coach umbrella. That feeling I get when I think about how Kyle and Rex Grossman act behind the scenes sickens me and to think that its making our offseason acquisition McNabb look like a bum makes me even madder.

If McNabb is on the way out you can forget about getting any value for him. What team is going to want to trade anything substantial for a QB who was benched for Rex Grossman, regardless of what the head coach says. If McNabb is your man, like you said he was, then you stick with your man, you don’t sit him just to try out two other scrubs just to see what they can do. Nothing like being told you are going to start all week then getting benched 2 days before a bitter divisional rivalry. I’m sure Dallas is glad old Sexy Rexy is starting.
