With all eyes on Rex Grossman after the benching of Donovan McNabb, Grossman surprised many by throwing for 4 TDs and almost leading a Redskin comeback after being down by 20 points in the 3rd quarter. But it wasnt all roses with Grossman who also threw 2 picks and fumbled in the 3rd leading to a Dallas score, not to mention playing against a prevent defense for most of the 2nd half.

Shanahan and Son assured as all week that Donovan McNabb would be the starter in Dallas this Sunday, yet in a surprising turn of events Mike Shanahan announced today that he will bench McNabb for the remainder of the season, excuse me ahem, not bench him but because we are out of the playoff race that he wants to “evaluate” Grossman and Beck.

The entire Redskins season could be summed up on one play from the Tampa Bay game this past Sunday, after scoring with 9 seconds left and lining up to kick the potentially game tying extra point, disaster ensues. High snap, game over. Chalk another one up in the loss column. Ryan Torain’s career high rushing day of 172 yards was spoiled by a poor kicking game and turnovers dropping the Skins to 5-8.
Haynesworth Suspended

The Albert Haynesworth vs Mike Shanahan heavyweight bout finally came to an end with Haynesworth getting suspended for the final 4 games of the season without pay. The media circus surrounding Haynesworth has somewhat overshadowed the coaching shortfalls of Mike Shanahan and even the mediocre play of Donovan McNabb but now with Haynesworth out of the picture all of our problems are going to be front and center.
Skins Drop Out Of Playoff Race With Loss To Giants

On a cold Sunday in New Meadowlands Stadium the NY Giants dashed the final playoff hopes for the Washington Redskins. The Skins never had a shot in this one sided divisional matchup in which NY RBs Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs ran wild. Eli Manning never even had a chance to blow this game for the Giants as they rushed for all 4 scores. The Skins drop to 5-7 with another challenge on the horizon with the young talent laden Bucs coming into Fed Ex on Sunday.
